PARCHMENT

In the 2,000 years since parchment has been used for manuscripts and furniture, little has changed in the curation process. In France in the 1930’s, this material was popularized by Jean Michel Frank, throughout Art Deco designs. Made from the skins of calves, goats, lambs, and sheep, this finished material is soft to the touch, and carries a high-quality translucent appearance.
